A 100th birthday is certainly cause for celebration; and no centennial birthday bash would be complete without some fun handmade party games.
Homemade party games at a 100th birthday party should be festive but respectful, and should stand as a tribute to a life well lived.
In fact, A Life Well Lived would be the perfect handmade game for a 100th birthday party. In this game, guests stand in a circle around the guest of honor and pass around a soft ball or balloon that reads “Happy 100th Birthday.” As each person catches the ball, he/she could state a positive fact about the life of the guest of honor; his/her honors and accomplishments, charitable good deeds, family history (i.e., how long they’ve been married, how many children they have, etc.). When collected, the number of these collected facts should equal 100.
100 Years, 100 Images is another great handmade game that can be played at a 100th birthday party. Each guest could be challenged to bring in a certain number of photos; and again, the number should equal 100. Pictures could show the guest of honor with their family, at work, participating in social activities, and performing community service. All of the pictures should be positive in nature, and—when assembled on the party table or on a bulletin board—should form the numeral ‘100.’
Homemade games can add a homespun feel to any 100th Birthday party. Celebrate a life well lived with a centennial birthday party that comes complete with some handmade games.
