This year for a 1st Birthday movie is the newly released Cars 2 which just entered the theaters this Month. The first Cars movie has been out on DVD or Blu-ray for some time now and could be shown at home. The movie is directed by John Lasseter and Brad Lewis and has the voices of Owen Wilson, Larry the Cable Guy, Michael Caine, Emily Mortimer, Jason Issacs and Thomas Kretschamann. With some of those lending their voices returning from the first movie done back in 2006. Other movies that would be great additions include Cat in the Hat (which was written by Dr. Seuss and then turned into a movie) or going to the TV show The Flintstones. The movie Cat in the Hat would be directed by Bo Welch and star the voices of; Mike Myers, Alec Baldwin, Spencer Breslin, Dakota Fanning and Kelly Preston. Setting up for a movie were there is one or several kids that are one years old, it is going to require some planning and patience given the audience. Lets be honest the kids are not going to watch the movie with any interest unless there are other kids there that are off different ages.

The adults are more excited about having a 1st Birthday party for the child, then the child is going to be interested at this age. Meaning that any movies shown are also going to be of more interest to any older kids and the adults at the party. Optionally having a older age movie might be a good choice as well, along with modifying the party supplies to match. For example consider Ice Age which is directed by Chris Wedge and Carlos Saldanha. The movie is animated and required the voices of several actors to be the characters to life, those voice come from; Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary and Goran Visnjic. After all a silent movie would never be the hit this movie was without the voices.
