Handmade 25th Anniversary Pinatas

A 25th anniversary celebrated with party supplies, decorations, games, food, drinks, and a homemade piñata will make this anniversary one to remember. Those who have the honor in throwing such a celebration may want to provide some entertainment for the children in attendance as well. A handmade piñata is ideal for any party situation. In keeping with the 25th anniversary theme, making a piñata in the 2 and 5 shapes is more than appropriate. Form the numbered shapes using small to medium size balloons, cardboard, and tape. Cut out the numbers from card and place the balloons in between the two pieces of the cutouts to create the 3D look. Once the balloons are securely tapes in between the cardboard, begin applying the paper mache. Before the final layer of the paper mache is applied, cut out a small section on the bottom of the piñata and insert the candy and various treats. Once the treats are in then close the piñata with a paper mache layer. After the final layer of the paper mache is applied pop the balloons inside with a needle.

A less complicated homemade 25th anniversary piñata would be to make a simple tiered piñata with print out images of Happy 25th Anniversary (insert names). Use festive colored text and font and paste the pieces of paper on the piñata. Use colored tissue paper where needed as well. Apply at least 3 layers of paper mache to the piñata with a layer of tissue paper.
