Growing up with the movies is apart of many people’s past even when just enjoying their 40th Birthday. A list of movies that were made 40 years ago and are celebrating their own 40th birthday, so its time to gather the party supplies for this day in history. The top ten grossing movies of 1971 starring with the first movie on the list is Fiddler on the Roof from United Artists, starring Topol and was directed by Norman Jewison. Moving right along to the next movie on the list; The French Connection which was directed by William Friedkin and starred Gene Hackman and Roy Scheider. Both saw box office returns over the thirty million dollar mark. For the third and fourth movies come the Summer of ‘42 starring Jennifer O’Neill and Diamonds are Forever starting Sean Connery and Jill St. John. Hard to believe those movies are 40 years old, but do make a good selection to go with a 40th Birthday plan. The fifth movie in the selection is Dirty Harry starting Clint Eastwood, hard to believe it’s been forty years.

Well here’s the seventh movie choice; A clockwork Orange. Next is Klute which has Jane Fonda, Donald Sutherland and Roy Scheider in the movie. Making progress towards to the last two and here are the final two movies. Nine is Timothy Bottoms and Cybill Shepherd in The Last Picture Show. At number ten it is a movie starring Angela Lansbury called Bedknobs and Broomsticks.
