Handmade 4th of July Party Favors

Homemade party favors for July 4th is a lot more fun to make then running to any store and just grabbing a bunch of items. Anyone can choose from a variety of great homemade party favors for this fourth all it takes is a little bit of creativity.

If someone is looking at creating a handmade party favor for a child then why not create a red, white, and blue party hat? A child can even help to make these great July, 4th party favors. The most simple of these would be to create a cone shaped hat out of a red, white, and blue paper plate. To begin take the paper plate and, with scissors, cut a long line into the circle of the plate. Next take the edges and bend them down and shape them into the shape of a cone. Once this is done take a stapler and staple the hat in a couple of different places to keep the cone in shape. Finally take a rubber band and cut it in half to make one large piece of elastic. Then take the elastic and staple it to each side of the hat to create a hat holder. If you have a child helping with the hats allow them to decorate the hats any way that they choose. However, be sure that you are giving them Independence themed items to work with.

A final great homemade party favor that one can make for the 4th of July would be a confetti popper. These are great fun but, beware, they will make a mess. The best way to make these would be to fill up red, white, and blue balloons with various Independence day themed items and then blow them up. Attach red, white, and blue ribbons to each balloon and attach them to the chairs. The guests will have great fun popping these come dark.
