When the 4th of July comes around each year, people think of fireworks, so the talk should include these exciting explosives. Whether or not they should be legal in certain areas might provoke some debate. In areas where there are burn bans because of the dry terrain and continued drought, there would definitely be a reason not to have a fireworks display on this event. But places like the beach, or wide open areas, like baseball fields might be a different story.

Everyone has a story about 4th of July fireworks. Telling your story of an exciting time at a park one warm, breezy 4th of July night might bring back memories of the other guests at the party and their past 4th of July evenings. Sitting on a blanket with a childhood sweetheart, watching the explosions in the air, was exciting back then, and perhaps it still is. You can talk about how the fireworks seemed to be right above you and the crowd, and how they seemed to fall down, as if they were going to fall right on you. But then they would dissipate into the night sky.

And they will also be in anticipation of the huge booms, crackles and pops that come just after the lights. They might even predict just how long each boom might take after the bright explosive lights.
