Next on the 1960’s list is the Alfred Hitchcock directed thriller/horror movie Psycho. Considered to be one of the best movies in this genre of movies that have been made over the years. Here’s the list of actors that started in this movie; Antony Perkins, Janet Leigh and Vera Miles. Also in the film are John Gavin, Martin Balsam and John McIntire. The movie was initially viewed as a failure, but when box office results showed other wise, the critics opted to re-review the film and thus changed the reviews. The movie has inspired many different spin offs including party supplies with a similar theme, either more on the goofy side then scary. Moving on to another possible movie to be shown at this 60th birthday party is the Stanley Kubrick directed Spartacus. A movie set in Roman times during the gladiator era, starting; Kirk Douglas and Laurence Olivier. The movie is based loosely on ancient history about a slave who leads a gladiator revolt during on the battles. Once having escaped from the arena they proceed off into the hills as free men for a while, even if they are on the run.
