The 80s brought with it a great number of fabulous movies, so why not include these in your themed party? An 80s party will have everyone remembering, a great blast from the past for the grown ups and (not so young) adults amongst your friends and family. Whether people know they're from the 80s or not, everyone knows a good few films from this era, so you're sure to find something for everyone, regardless of age or preferences.

One of the most imaginative, funniest movies ever made comes from the 80s: Ghostbusters! Everyone knows Ghostbusters, and can definitely have a good giggle sitting down and watching this. Could you dress up as Slimer? Or if that's a bit too far, how about dressing up as a Ghostbuster and getting 3 other people to do the same? You could turn your house into a den of ghosts that you have to hoover up! This would be a great movie to include at a party with both adults and children, since children will enjoy Ghostbusters too, as well as the potential after-movie games!

ET, Batman and Back To The Future also came out as movies in the 80s. These are films that have world recognition, and for good reason too. Whilst children may be more accustomed to the modern, up to date Batman, adults will remember that at some point, Batman was an 80s movie icon! ET has always been a bit of a tear-jerker, so if you have any emotional guests, this might not be the best choice! But Back To The Future was, and always has been, an absolute hit with everybody. It's almost a failsafe choice to make!

So when you're out collecting your party supplies or informing your guests what to bring, don't give the game away as such, but let them know that a specific movie dress-up is required in order to enter your blast back to the 80s!
