Want to knock your guest’s socks off? Dress up as Riley from Alien. A pair slacks and a t-shirt with ammunition belts from a costume crisscrossed on your chest. The guests will really get into the Alien party spirit, when Riley rings their doorbell and hand them an invitation. You can make it even more special by making the invitation a call to arms to protect the colonists at a planet that has stopped all communications. Of course, that was the story line of the movie and it is a perfect intro into the fun at the party itself.

Unique Invitations
An Alien party gives you a wide range of unique invitations to choose.. There is always a spaceship shaped invitation or one that recounts the beginning of the Alien movie. If your friends are really into the Alien movies try an invite that looks like Riley's cat or one that asks trivia questions. Use hard trivia questions and do not give the answers. Instead, have prizes at the party for the guests that answer the questions correctly.

When To Mail the Invitations
Mailing invitations is a bit of an art form. You have to take into account the time period when the party will be held. If it will be during a time when there are likely to be many other parties and social events, then it is best to send the invitation about four to six weeks in advance. It is very important to make certain that your guests have ample time to send their replies, whether written, email or by phone. Without the RSVPs, you will not have a good idea of how many people will come and how much food and other supplies will be needed.
