Handmade Aloha Party Favors

Guests will enjoy aloha themed homemade party favors such as palm tree paperweights because they will be able to use them even after the party. The process is simple and only requires a little time to produce some of the best looking handmade party favors guests have ever seen!

Start with gathering the needed supplies:

Styrofoam
Artificial miniature palm leaves (or green pipe cleaner)
3 inch wooden dowels (one per paperweight)
Tiny clay pots
Green and Brown paint
Small blocks of Styrofoam
Moss

First, paint the dowels brown and put them aside to dry. This will be the first step to creating homemade party favors. Next, put a coat of green paint on the small Styrofoam ball. This will be the base for the leaves or pipe cleaner to stick into. Let this dry.

Once dried, place a small black of Styrofoam in the center of the clay pot and press the dowel to into the center of it. Press the green ball into the dowel until it is secured without holding. Top the rest of the area off with moss. Glue it down if necessary.

At this point, the only thing that remains of the handmade party favors is to add the leaves or pipe cleaner. Simply stick the ends of the leaves or pipe cleaners into the Styrofoam ball until the area looks full.

If the paperweight needs extra weight, add some rocks or sand into the pot to weight it down. Write each guests name on the homemade party favors for a personalized touch as well.
