Handmade Anniversary Pinatas

Whether a couple is celebrating their first or fiftieth wedding anniversaries celebrate in style with party supplies, party favors, and a homemade piñata. Homemade piñatas can be made to look like anything so choose one that is creative, easy to make, and with plenty of treats inside. The happily married couple may see some dark days in their marriage but hopefully there will be brighter days. Ensure this anniversary party is a bright one by making a festive sun piñata. A sun piñata is very easy to make. Take a large balloon and blow it up as much as possible. Apply two layers of paper mache over it and let dry. Cut out the sun’s rays from cardboard and tape them on the sun. Apply a third layer of paper mache over the entire sun, including the cardboard rays and let dry once more over night. Use acrylic paint or tissue paper for the sun. Cut out a smiley face sunglasses for the sun from sheets of paper or cardboard as well. Insert the candy into a small hole near the bottom, apply paper mache, and cover with paint or tissue paper. Once the base of the sun is completed apply the sun’s accessories sunglasses and cut out smile etc. Add arms and legs also using cardboard as well. This is a fun piñata to make so include children in the sun piñata making process. Perhaps the child or children will want to make their own piñatas for the anniversary party and show off what they made.
