An anniversary can be the celebration of time married, time at a job, or time that marks something else that is special, so when having a party to celebrate it, be sure to have a homemade anniversary game or two.
If the anniversary is to celebrate how long you have been at a job, then the co-workers might all get in on a handmade game called “rumors.” Office workers are really very good at this type of thing. Cards are written out by the co-workers and slipped into the pocket of the guest of honor, perhaps over appetizers. The writings are all rumors, and are not at all true, like an affair that he or she had a couple of years ago, or that time he took off from work and everyone knew he was really playing the horses at the track, or the time he picked up the phone and when he knew it was the boss he hung up. These stories might astonish the anniversary man or woman, but as soon as it is revealed that it’s the rumor game, everyone would laugh about it. Hopefully, it will be before another secret is revealed by the anniversary person by accident.
If the anniversary is celebrating the friendship of two people, there are homemade anniversary games that can be put together by other friends to find out just how much these two best friends know each other. Questions like what their favorite colors are, what their favorite movies and books are, and so on, can be asked, or written on cards for the friends to choose about each other. They might be amazed themselves at how little they know about each other.
