Hand Designed Ballerina Invitations
A ballerina party is one of the ultimate “girly” parties and the invitations should reflect that fact. First, the main color for this type of party will be pink and then whatever the child’s favorite color happens to be. Invitations can be a cutout of a pair of ballerina slippers. Outline them with pink maker and complete with a ribbon tied to each slipper. The party information can be written on the back with a pink sparkle gel ink. It would be cute to print the invitations on pink paper and put a cutout of a ballerina on each with the guest child’s name written on the cutout. If you want to start the fun a little early, attach pink glittery hair combs and / or ribbons to the invitations.

When To Mail the Invitations
Decide if you want the children to come dressed as ballerinas and if you do then mail the invitations a little early. That will give parents a chance to get the little ballerina costumes together. So, if the party is a costume party, try mailing the invitations four weeks in advance. However, if it is not a costume party, two to three weeks in advance will be fine. Remember when mailing invitations to always give the parents sufficient time to reply. You may want to put your phone number and email address on the invites.

Thank You Notes
Getting a child ready for a party is a feat in and of itself. Sending thank you notes to the parents for bringing the child and the child for coming is a wonderful way to finish a party. Make the thank you notes a little surprise by slipping a party favor into the envelope. Something like ballerina stickers will work very well. The child will enjoy them and the parents will appreciate the thoughtfulness.
