The earliest extra-biblical reference to baptism occurs in the Didache (c. 100 A.D.), the Epistle of Barnabas (c. 130 A.D.), and the Shepherd of Hermas (c. 150 A.D.). All of these works describe the practices surrounding baptism in ways that imply it is adults that are baptized. The free printable Baptism Coloring Pages are a fun way to keep the kids occupied at the dinner table or a party. Baptism Party Planning is a time when close family and friends get together for the baby. Having a bunch with personalized banners hanging is a nice keepsake for the baby when grown up. Making homemade cookie for a baptism is a thoughtful way to tie in the significance of the event with the party. A baptism can be a somber event, but it doesn’t have to be. Just like any other party or gathering creating something homemade shows a special caring that a store bought gift can’t provide. One special cookie that would be a great addition to any baptism is a cookie pop. Cookie and cake pops are very popular and easy to make. Plus, any cookie recipe will work. You don’t have to pick any specific kind of cookie you can make the family favorite. Candy sticks are required for this recipe; they can be purchased at any bakery supply shop. Make the dough for the cookies as per the instructions in the recipe. Once the dough is ready, roll the cookies into balls and place them on a cookie sheet. Stick one of the candy sticks into each of the dough balls before putting them in the oven. A small piece of foil might be needed to cover the sticks to make sure they don’t brown. Once the cookies are done baking let them cool completely before attempting to move them. If you move them before they are cool you run the risk of breaking them apart. Pick a special plate or platter that reflects the special connection to the baptism to lay out the baptism homemade cookies in a beautiful way. This gift is sure to go a long way in impressing the family who wants to celebrate such a special event.
