Homemade
Baptism Costume
Baptism and the proper costume, when a party of some sort is going to be thrown to celebrate such a joyful event, is something that should be considered carefully. Also, it just might be that a child or infant's (especially an infant's) baptism costume could be made by hand, in a homemade fashion. Certainly, making such a homemade costume to celebrate an event as important as a baptism needs to be undertaken with the right mindset, at minimum.
Consider that a baptism for an infant, might require a set of clothing or a costume, if one wants to call it that, that's predominantly white in color and which might consist of the baptismal clothing and a bonnet in the case of girls or some sort of head covering, in the case of boys. And if the child is a bit older (orin the case of adults who undergo baptism), then the choice of homemade costume – either for the themed party being held afterwards or for the ceremony itself – is even more important. After all, no older child or adult wants to be caught out in a bonnet or cap and white frock!
That's why assembling the pieces for a costume that's going to be related to a baptism needs to be done with due consideration. Parents of a child being baptized may wish everybody to come to the post-baptism party dressed for a certain theme that's a favorite of theirs for their child or a favorite of the child itself. Fortunately, most any good homemade costume in this case can be constructed from a variety of items commonly available at any clothing thrift store or an arts and crafts store, so keep that in mind as a good starting point.
