Handmade Baptism Pinatas

A baptism is a special occasion that deserves the proper celebration with party supplies such as homemade piñatas and party favors for guests. Children and adults alike will have plenty of fun trying to smash open a homemade piñata designed especially for the Baptism occasion.

Making a handmade lion piñata for a Baptism party is very easy to make. To make a lion piñata begin by using a large balloons covered with paper mache. Cut a small hole in the bottom of the paper mache and insert the candy after the second layer is applied. Cover the balloon in a third layer of paper mache and let dry. Paint or use tissue paper to make the lions facial features. Cut out sheets of cardboard to make the ears and paint or use tissue paper. Draw the facial features on first with a pencil to ensure the right colors are painted on applied with tissue paper. Once the face is done add long sheets of paper to make the lions mane cut long strips of paper about 1-inch wide and apply around the balloon with glue or tape. Do not forget to add the holes in the top of the piñata for the string or wire so the piñata can be hung. The piñata does not have a long life span so take plenty of pictures and videos of people enjoying the piñata. Homemade piñatas also make great gifts for children as well.
