Planning for a Bar Mitzvah party by including several possible movies to be shown. In this case lets show movies that were directed by John Landis for the party while out getting the party supplies. The first movie to be considered is the 1980 flick The Blues Brothers which starred actors Dan Aykord and John Belushi as vocalist "Joliet" Jake Blues and harmonica player/vocalist Elwood Blues. The movie was loosely based around those members of the band when it was first created back in 1978 and has continued on to this day with a number of guest blues players joining the band. Next movie on the list for this Bar Mitzvah party is Coming Soon which was a 1982 film. Guess one thing that should really have been done first is to setup the player and the television to ensure that the movies can be watched. Once done then it is just a matter of selecting which movie will be shown first. In this movie the actors/actresses are; Jamie Lee Curtis who is actually narrating this movie/documentary.

Ok so the second selection for the Bar Mitzvah is a short movie and it is time to move on and reset the party supplies for the next movie or two. Starting with the continuation of the first one, Blues Brothers 2000. This verision was written by Dan Aykord and John Landis, it also required replacing one of the original cast members from the first one and that was John Belushi who had died years earlier. The new movie is set 18 years later after the first movie and this one stars a wide range of people starting with Dan Aykord, John Goodman, Joe Morton, James Brown. As a number of the guest that appear in this movie are known blues and jazz players/signers, such as Aretha Franklin, B.B. King, Bo Diddley and Dr. John. One last notable is Blues Traveler who also shows up in the movie as well.
