Handmade BBQ Pinatas

Enhance the enjoyment of a BBQ with a homemade piñata for the occasion. Everyone loves a good BBQ and many people enjoy smacking a piñata with the hopes of acquiring plenty of candy. For a BBQ theme piñata make one that reflects the theme such as a pig, cow, or chicken. Not only will the homemade piñata give party guests at opportunity to gain some candy and treats but also it will certainly gain some laughs as well.

Making a homemade pig piñata for a BBQ is simple enough anyone who has the time and required materials can do so. Blow up a large party balloon and tape on a bathroom cup for the snout and for cups for the legs. Cut a cup in half from the top to bottom to make the shape for the ears. Once all the pieces are securely tape on add the paper mache. Add 2 layers, let dry, and then cut out a small section of the bottom to add the candy and treats. Add more paper mache to cover the hole. Add another layer to the piñata, let dry over night, and the painting can begin. Paint the pig pink in color or add pink tissue paper. To make the pigtail, use long pink pipe cleaners. For the pig’s eyes, apply googly eyes or draw them on with a marker. For the snout, draw in black dots so the pig can breathe. Now the homemade pig piñata is ready for the BBQ party.
