Captain America is an Iconic American superhero who fights for America’s values against evil forces. Throwing a Captain America themed party is an opportunity for children to express their creative abilities through Captain America themed crafts. Supply all children with the necessary art materials to create their own indestructible disc-shaped shield. What a better way to add entertainment and fun to a celebration than to give the guests the chance to create something using their own craftsmanship or do another type of fun activity? Most hosts will find that this can be done many different ways depending on the age of the guests. For this reason, planning in advance will prove to be very beneficial to the planning of this event.

Indestructible disc-shaped shield
Large plant saucer
Acrylic red, white and blue paint or spray paint
Glossy enamel
Circular cardboard cut out
Star stencil
Masking or duct tape

Take a large plant saucer and paint it red white and blue, masking it off with a star stencil and cardboard cutouts. To get a perfect circle, use a protractor and cut out the cardboard section. Use a picture of Captain America’s shield for a guideline. After the paint dries, use a glossy enamel to give the shield a nice shine.

Use a tightly wrapped newspaper and tape it to the back of the shield. Use masking or duct tape to securely seal it to the shield.

This type of craft project might take some time to make especially if there are many children at the party.

For those who are looking to supply all the children an opportunity to make Captain America’s shield, use a lid cover. Apply the same principle to the lid cover and each child has his or her own mini Captain America shield. Obviously, cutting small version to make the circular shape and smaller star stencil will be needed. Make the invitation exciting by adding some fun to the envelope, as well. Great hosts and hostesses pay attention to the details. Make the invitation exciting by adding some fun to the envelope, as well.
