A casino theme party with party supplies, decorations, party favors, and homemade casino piņatas makes a great way to spend a birthday party. Homemade casino piņatas can be made to look like any casino related object such as a poker chop, slot machine, and playing card. Fill the piņata with various casino related items like poker chips, candies, and small toys.
One of the easiest casino theme piņatas to make is a dice piņata. Fill a cardboard box with candies and toys. Punch two holes on opposite sides of the box, about 2 inches down from the top. Pass a piece of strong string through the holes to make a hanger. Use heavy-duty string that will not snap if a child hits it with a stick or bat. Mix flour and water in a large bowl to make a paper mache paste. Tear strips of newspaper, coat them with the paper mache paste and spread them over the box. Repeat this process until the box is completely covered with strips. Try 2-3 layers and let dry before applying a new layer. Use white and black acrylic paint for the dots for the dice.
