Cheerleading Party Surprise
Many people throw birthday parties that incorporate many themes and buy different part supplies and favors for them. There are also people who throw a theme party for a special occasion of just because they want to have a good time. In the case of a cheerleading party, it can be incorporated into both. There are very few party supplies you will need, but a lot of imagination.
When it comes to cheerleading parties, every cheerleader has to have pom pons. With that, this would be the first party favor you will want to purchase. If you are ambitious, you can always make them yourself. As with any party, you will need a focal point for the cheerleader themed party. This could be a stadium setting or a cheerleading competition setting. These are two separate parts of the cheerleading world.
For the stadium setting, you could turn your backyard into a football field. This would be great for those parties that will be including boys and girls. Even if it is an all girl party, this will still work. If you have a boy and girl party, however, you can have a small football game with the girls as the cheerleaders cheering on either side.
If you have a cheerleading competition setup, you could make a competition mat and divide the girls up into teams. Give them an allotted amount of time to come up with a routine. Supply them music to make it more exciting. Have them perform in front of “judges” and pick the winner.
These two ideas can be combined or separate. Make sure to have colors such as their school colors or traditional pink or purple as a color scheme.

Cheerleading Cake Ideas
Creating a cheerleader themed cake for a birthday or team celebration is easy with a few party supplies and some basic baking tools.
First bake a regular rectangular ¼ sheet cake or larger, depending on the size of the guest list. Next, ice it in the team’s colors. For example, if the team’s colors were blue and white, you could ice the cake white and put blue stars around the edges and pipe the top in blue.
Once the base has been put on, add in a focal piece. A great way to bring in the cheerleading theme to the cake is to create pom pons out of icing. To do this, start our creating the handles of the pom pons, spacing them far enough apart where they are separate. You can use two different color icings to do a color on each or even make them both dual color; you could also just do them both one color and the handle a different color. To create the “poofy” look, fill an icing bag with icing, start from the center and while squeezing, pull outward from the center and then up. Do this until it fills out to look like a pom pon.
The cheerleading cake can be left like that or you can add other details such as a megaphone sitting in between them or even replace it with the teams mascot.

Cheerleading Party Music Play Lists
Celebrate a young girl’s birthday by throwing her a cheerleading party with the necessary party supplies and music. Decorate the party area with banners, pom-poms, faux (or real) megaphones, foam fingers, balloons, and cheerleading uniforms. Cannot have a cheerleading party without cheerleading music, right? Use child friendly lyrics that do not contain explicit language. Some songs to consider include:
Rock Star/We got the Party With Us - Hannah Montana
The Climb /GNO (Girls Night Out) - Miley Cyrus
All Star - Smash Mouth
Let it Rock - Kevin Rrudolf
Mickey - Toni Basil
So Bring It On - The Cheetah Girls
Headstrong - Ashley Tisdale
Who Let The Dogs Out? - Baja Men
Popular - The Veronicas
Glamorous (Clean Version) – Fergie
Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now) - C+C Music Factory
Let's Dance - Vanessa Hudgens
Pon de Replay - Rihanna
Closer - Ne-Yo
Real Wild Child - Everlife
Give the girls in attendance to make their own dance routine using desired cheerleading music. Allow them some time to rehearse and enjoy what they come up with. Give the girls pom-poms and plenty of encouragement to put on a great show.
