Christening
PARTY CRAFT IDEAS |
 |
Create a Commemorative christening frame.
You'll Need:
• White doll or newborn gown.
• Shadow box
• Matting
• Pearlized paint
• Embellishments
Create a commemorative Christening frame to display in the new baby's room. Appropriate white shadow boxes may be embellished however you wish. Create an acid free back board in a color that coordinates with the baby's room. Using the pearl paint, write the child's name and christening date on the gown, and allow it to dry. Mount the gown to the backing, cover with an appropriate mat, and mount these into the shadow box frame.
**Tip: you might choose to monogram or use sew on letters rather than writing on the gown
Photo Albums
Creating a miniature photograph album is easy, and also easy to embellish to make it very personal. It actually measures about two inches square when it is completed, but this makes it perfect for the little izone cameras that print instantly. That way, you can insert them into the album before you give it as a gift!
You Will Need:
• 4 Standard white cardstock (two by four inches each)
• 1 cardstock (8.25" X 2.25") in your choice of color
• hole punch
• 1 inch punch in a shape you like
• scissors or cutter
• 24" length ribbon
• stapler with staples
1.) Fold the white cardstock in half.
2.) Fold the colored cardstock in half, and fold each side in half again, leaving about ¼" gap at the center.
3.) Using the shaped punch, center it in the second section, and punch out.
4.) Put holes in the center, on either side of each fold, in which to run you ribbon.
5.) Line the white cardstock up to the center of the color cardstock
6.) Staple through the center.
7.) Fold in the cover, from the outside to the inside on the edge, weave the ribbon, and go back out over the staple, back in, and out again on the back edge, and you have a christening photo album that is original and fun! |
