Cinco de Mayo is a special holiday celebrated in Mexico. There are people everywhere that celebrate this holiday too. When you are celebrating this holiday, one great way to do it is to do some fun and easy crafts that you can do with your kids. These crafts will make the celebration even more fun for kids everywhere.

An awesome Cinco de Mayo craft is the Mexican bean bracelet. You want to glue construction paper or tinfoil around a toilet paper roll. You want to cut the toilet paper roll in half so that it will sit on your wrist. You also want to cut the toilet paper roll shorter. The width of the bracelet will depend on how wide you want it to be. Then glue beans onto the bracelet, if you use smaller beans they stay better. Let it dry. Then if you want to you can put a hole in the sides of the bracelet so that you can tie a string or ribbon there to help hold the bracelet to your wrist better.

This Cinco de Mayo craft is a favorite for kids everywhere. It is the maracas. You need to have 9 inch paper plates, markers or crayons, dried beans or rice, stapler, and five or six colored crepe paper for streamers. You want to first decorate the outside or bottom of the plate. Fold the plate in half and then add a handful of beans or rice inside of it. Staple it shut and then staple the colored streamers to the curved side of the paper plate. Now you can make your own music for your Cinco de Mayo celebration.
