Circus Carnival Clowns Shoofly Pie
Circus Clowns Shoofly Pie was being sold at the carnival. My family enjoyed the pie so much at the end of the show I looked for the Supervisor and asked for the recipe. It was a challenge getting this recipe and I would like to share it with you all. The following year for my daughters birthday we had a Carnival theme Party and we served this Shoofly Pie, a total hit! Enjoy.
1 cup flour
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup cold water
2 Tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon baking soda dissolved in 1/4 cup hot water
1 cup molasses
9" unbaked pie shell
Cut flour, sugar, and butter together with a pastry blender until mixture resembles crumbs. Combine other ingredients, and add 1/2 of crumb mixture. Pour into pie shell and sprinkle remaining crumbs on top. Bake at 375 for 35 minutes.
This is the recipe of your dreams I just could not believe this is done so simple it has a flavor that I thought would take hours to obtain. Enjoy it as much as I do its great, specially for those Carnival theme parties.

CIRCUS & CARNIVAL BALLOON RELAY: Divide the children into 2 or more equal teams and stand them in a line. Turn on the music and give each team a funny clown name. Give each team ten balloons in a basket and a clown nose. The first in each line takes a balloon and the clown nose and runs to the other side (wearing the clown nose) of the room/yard/area and sits or stomps on the balloon to pop it. After popping the balloon they run back to the line and hand the nose to the next person who does the same thing. The game goes on until one team has popped all of their balloons.
