A lobster piņata is very simple and fun to make and even more fun to smash open. For a reference, simply the lobster by using a cartoon or drawing image of a lobster. The lobster should be fun looking and not scary or too realistic like a real lobster. To make a lobster piņata, form the basic shape of the lobster using small balloons. Tape the balloons together and cover the body with paper mache (3 layers). Before the final layer of paper mache is applied, insert the candy inside the piņata. For the lobster extremities use craft form or cardboard. Cut out the shapes of the claws, tail, legs, and tightly twisted paper for the whiskers. To unify the lobster, apply paper mache over the extremities, let dry, and apply red-orange tissue paper over the entire piņata lobster. For the lobster eyes, use googly eyes to give the lobster some life.
