It’s always a good idea to plan head, especially if you are planning on making coasters, centerpieces, and posters yourself. You might want to ask a friend to help you in the planning process, or perhaps even split the work to get more done at a faster pace.

Ensure there are plenty of coasters at the next children’s party. We all know children will put a wet glass or can on just about anything so coasters must be present throughout the party location. Keep children entertained with each other (giving parents a break) by playing party games. Party games are fun, keep children active and off the couch, and help burn off the calories from all the cake consumption. An obstacle course for children is a great way to help encourage physical activity without encouraging physical activity (wink wink). An obstacle course can include anything from jumping rope, hopscotch, carrying a spoon with an egg on it, walking blind folded, spinning around fast and trying to walk, Hula Hoop pass, drop a penny, three-legged race, crab race, and shoebox slide race. If planned right and with enough space, such a relay race can be the most thrilling, exciting children’s relay race of all-time. Organize such a race well before the party to ensure the race transitions well from one station to another seamlessly. Explain in detail in the beginning and during the game which station each participant must go. Chances are great there will be children who skip and miss a station by accident. After the race is complete, and no injuries occur hopefully, award prizes to all those who participated and a special prize to the winner of the relay race.
