Book Clubs Cocktail Party Idea
Book clubs are becoming more popular as a way to sit back, unwind and talk about literature. This is a way to relax for most people as well as share their interest in many different book subjects. You can correlate the drink to the book as well. It is well known that in many publications there are drinks listed that might be the drink of choice for a particular character or even a focus of interest in the book. Even if drinks or cocktails are not listed in the book, you can have a Sex on the Beach when reading a book that takes place in a beach setting, create a Hemingway Daiquiri when reading the classics or even a sunshine cocktail. The choices are endless and it will be fun creating a theme around each time the club meets for the book blub cocktail party. Lots more

Cocktail MENU IDEAS |
 |
The Cocktail party menu is all about budget. If you have a higher budget you will be able to accomplish more things, of course, but for those on a smaller budget, there are fantastic options as well. Basically, when it comes to a Cocktail party, there is a menu for every budget.
If you are not hiring a caterer, then you should be aware of a few things:
1. You will need to make sure you have a nice balance of hot and cold party appetizers. In general, you should expect that each person will eat 6-8 appetizers. These can be topped breads, cracker bites, Beef Satay, cookies, cheeses and shrimp, salmon, etc.
2. You should have about 3 different cocktails and then the rest should be wine. Figure about a bottle of wine per guest every two hours.
You will want to make sure you have plenty of mixers such as tomato juice, lemons, Tabasco, orange juice, limes, Worchester sauce and more. You will also need a basic bar that consists of liquor such as vodka, gin, whiskey, rum, beer and more. Other drinks you might want to consider are coffees and teas as well as plenty of bottles water.
If you will be having a sit down dinner, some great menu ideas are Seared Bacon Wrapped bay Scallops and a variety of soups. Another option would be to include sandwiches such as roast beef, smoked salmon, chicken etc. By just adding even one simple food item to the menu will help create
a complete Cocktail theme party feeling. |
