A Daytona 500 party with music, food, and plenty of good friends and family is a great way to celebrate the Great American Race. Singing, dancing and having a great time with family and friends is what most celebrations are supposed to be like. Therefore, finding the right melodies and tunes for those special events is very important. From rock and country to jazz and blues, getting together with friends and celebrating great times or special events will make your event very popular. It is important find songs that appropriately fit the theme of the party – Daytone 500. No slow and boring songs for this type of party so include songs that represent everything great about racing – being loud and fast.

Going The Distance – Cake
Under My Wheels - Alice Cooper
I LOVE NASCAR – Cletis T Judd w/ Keith Toby
Speedway at Nazareth - Mark Knopfler
Riding with the Legend (Dale Earnhardt) – Keith Bryant
I'm In love With My Car – Queen
I Love Nascar - Cledus T. Judd
Dale Earnhardt the Intimidator- Brooks&Dunn
Kickstart My Heart - Motely Crue
It’s a NASCAR NATION - Raytona500
NASCAR Love (Let’s Go Racin’ Boy’s) – Toby Lightman
The Talladega Song - Tim Wilson

Daytona 500 music will put everyone in a driving mood for the big race. Racing songs do not have to mention racing either. Include fast-paced rock songs that people jacked up! Crank up the stereo loud and enjoy the best race in American racing. Include Daytona 500 party supplies such as tableware items, banners, and cake toppers. Centerpieces can be artistic like hand painted flower holders or something more practical like candles to provide light. Stretch resources at a social function by using potted flowers as decorations and then giving them as door prizes. Invite everyone who’s interested in helping to create artful decorations by using plates, glue, glitter and more which can be sent home with the creators at the end of the night.

Celebrate The Great American Race the Daytona 500 or other racing even by throwing a race themed party with homemade party supplies. Sensational get-togethers often involve designing and preparing in advance for the occasion. Most often color arrangements and other needed supplies will add to the celebration and make a great addition to the event. Nearly all hosts will find that fun décor and color schemes are the perfect perks for the event. This addition will give the celebration a really cool appearance. Homemade Daytona 500 invitations are a great way to let people know that they are invited to the Daytona 500 party. Use a simple square piece of card stock with various images of race cars or cut out the card stock in the shape of a tire, race car or checkered flag.

A handmade Daytona 500 should also be included in the must-have party supplies collection. For example, trace Daytona 500 text on to the large banner. Paint the letters in with desired colors. A checkered banner painted with black overlaid with the Daytona 500 logo is also an option. For a Daytona 500 homemade centerpiece, take a piece of foam and place miniature checkered flags in a circle in the foam. A more elaborate set up would include using real tires as Daytona 500 party supplies. Place the old tires (research repair shops and see if they have old tires they will give away). Stack the tires next to the food table. Behind the food table create a large sign that reads Pit Stop.

Get a Daytona themed party ready with the right party supplies and Daytona 500 theme cake. This exciting event is the ideal time for creative desserts and other party foods designed especially for this celebration. These items are always a great addition to a celebration and most often fun like cakes that are designed especially for this celebration will make everyone feel very special. More often than not, these great party foods and desserts will add a lot of fun to the special event. Common Daytona 500 party supplies include black and white checkered flags, race cars, helmets, race tracks and more. If using this theme for a birthday party, be sure to really focus on the cake.

Let the cake be the focal point of the party. First, cover the table in a black and white checkered table cloth or your choice. On the table, place a cake that looks like it is a racetrack in the center. You can decorate it further with some toy cars, flags and other details if you would like. Next, outline the back, like a backdrop, of a stand surrounding the Daytona 500 race track. This could easily be done with poster board, card board or any other stiff material.

Take the racing theme even farther by continuing the scene off of the middle cake area and extending it onto the table. Create a parking lot, tents and other things you would see at a Daytona 500 race. The more detail that is put into the cake and the design, the better it will This dessert can be served as a delicious treat as well as a great party decoration or addition.

Race fans may enjoy the Daytona 500 Party more than watching the race at a sports bar with enough attention to party planning. There are two main elements to a sports party: food and a big screen television. A small T.V. will due in a pinch if traffic flow is considered in the viewing room. From making a guest list to preparing the food, having a plan will make the celebration go off without a hitch. Simple hostess tip: Prepare for the entire celebration in advance and avoid adding any extra commitments or stress on the hostess during the preparation period. This simple tip will ensure that the hostess has a stress free and very entertaining time during the actual celebration.

When this is a necessity try setting the food in a separate location from the T.V. This will encourage non-race conversation to take place away from the serious sports fans. That will allow for less tension with those trying to concentrate on the smaller screen. T.V. trays will be a welcome addition to the viewing area allowing fans to grab snacks and quickly return to their race without the awkward balancing act that a plate and beverage would otherwise necessitate.

New for the coverage of the 2007 Daytona 500 stockcar race will be its prime time schedule. The race will begin at 4p.m. and last well after dark. Be prepared to entertain guests for hours since they may be inclined to stay well after the end of the race. Pre-race coverage starts early so don’t plan any other activities for the day of this race!

It is likely that both a late lunch and dinner will be expected for a Daytona 500 Party. Cold cut platters, potato chips and themed paper party goods can be the best approach to feeding this crowd during the long race. Another idea would be to use slow cookers for baked beans or cocktail wieners. Buffet style serving is a must and cold beverages need to be kept on ice near enough for race fans to quickly refresh their own drinks. When all preparations are made the only thing left is to listen for the instruction: Gentlemen, start your engines!
