Detroit Lions cake for a birthday or some other type of celebration makes for a tremendously thoughtful gift. For those seeking a way to impress their boyfriend, girlfriend, or loved ones, baking a theme cake of their celebrant’s favorite team will no doubt be a hit. Looking to add the Detroit Lions silver color may be the trickiest party. To make the Lions silver color, paint silver luster dust on some grey fondant (which can be used to cover the cake entirely if desired). The Detroit Lions logo is relatively easy to make. Take blue and white buttercream, gum paste, and/or fondant. Prick holes in the sheet of paper (which is printed out and placed on top of the cake) and remove when finished. Now, connect the dots to form the Lion and now a Detroit Lion logo is present.

Detroit Lions party supplies such as mini football, flags, edible cake images, goal posts and other football accessories can complete the look of the Detroit Lions cake. There are numerous ways to design a team themed cake so look for ideas and inspiration to make the best (most delicious) cake possible for the celebration.

The first step in planning a Detroit Lions party should be making the invitations. As part of making the invitations you need to decide when and where you will have your party. Consider starting it as a pre-game tailgate party in your backyard or a nearby park. You could then move the party indoors to your living room to watch the Detroit Lions game or you can start your party with the Lions game and just have an indoors party.

No matter how you decide to have you party be sure to give all the details of your Detroit Lions party on your invitations. You might want to make your invitations look like tickets to admit guests to the party. You can also just have them be general football themed or be on paper that is the Lions team color of light blue.

For a Detroit Lions tailgate party your party supplies should include food and drinks. If you have access to a barbecue for your tailgate party, you should serve items like hot dogs and burgers. Use football and Detroit Lions themed party supplies such as football shaped serving dishes, light blue paper plates, blue cups, and light blue or football themed napkins. Have several coolers with a variety of drinks for your guests to enjoy.

Plan some activities for your outdoor tailgate party and/or to do during halftime at your Detroit Lions party. Backyard games such as bean bag toss, ladder toss, touch football, flag football, and tackle football are good for a tailgate party. Trivia games, especially if they feature Lions questions, are great for halftime.
