Guests will roar with approval when they attend a Detroit Lions trivia party; especially one that comes complete with a lot of accurate and very useful info about their favorite football team.
The Lion, shock of all shocks, is the trademark and insignia of the Detroit Lions football team; the team’s logo, as a matter of fact, is a Leaping Lion. The team’s colors, meanwhile, are a lovely combination of rich Hawaiian blue and sheer silver. The team plays at Ford Field, named for the nationally famous Ford car company, under the guidance of head coach Jim Schwartz.
Established in 1934, the Detroit Lions celebrated its 75th anniversary with a grand celebration (along with a special 75th anniversary team) in 2008. They have won four league titles via championships won in 1935, 1952, 1953 and 1957, and instituted the modern-day annual Thanksgiving Day game. Some of the team’s most beloved and legendary players include Barry Sanders, Lem Barney, Yale Lary, Charlie Sanders and Joe Schmidt. Chris Spielman holds the team record for the most career tackles, with 1,138 achieved from 1988 to 1995. Robert Porcher holds the team record for the most quarterback sacks in his career, having attained 95.5 from 1992 to 2004.
The team has a loyal fan base and even offers a special program for its youngest followers, known as known as Detroit Lions Youth Football.
