Handmade Dinosaur Party Favors

Handmade party favors do not have to be complicated. In fact, most homemade favors are actually quite simple. The key is to find something that everyone can enjoy but is easy to make. Dinosaur themed rice crispy treats is the perfect homemade dinosaur party favor.

Rice crispy treats are easy to make:

3 tablespoons of butter or margarine
1 package (10 oz) or regular sized marmallows
6 cups of rice crispies

Directions:

Melt butter on low heat in a large saucepan. Add the marshmallows in and stir until completely melted in. Remove this from heat. Add the rice cripies in and stir until they are all coated.

The next step is up to the creator! The rice crispy treats can be pressed into a 13x9x2 inch pan and cut individually for guests and then decorated, or they can be rolled out and then made into cookie cutter dinosaur shapes.

If decorating them individually as squares, a fun idea is to create a scene on them with icing. A scene might be with trees and maybe a nest with dinosaur eggs in theme, or maybe a pretty waterfall with vegetation. The cookie cutter dinosaurs can be decorated with icing as well. They can be piped or completely colored in.
