COOKIES

Your homemade disco theme cookies should be glittery and exciting. What says disco more then glitter? So, gather some cake decorating sugars in various colors, and whip up a batch of great cookies for your disco party guests.
For these homemade disco cookies you will need one cup of butterscotch flavored chips, on cup of butter, softened, 3 cups of flour, ½ cup of brown sugar, ½ cup of granulated white sugar, one egg, two tablespoons of milk, and two teaspoons of vanilla. In a saucepan just melt the butterscotch chips over low heat until they are smooth. Pour this into a large mixer bowl and add all the remaining ingredients to the bowl. Beat at a low speed until it is well mixed. Then divide the dough in half, wrap each half in plastic food wrap, and refrigerate one hour until it is firm.
When you are ready to back your homemade disco theme cookies, heat the oven to 375 degrees. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface, half at a time to about 1/8” in thickness. Cut with round cookie cutters and place the cookies on the cookie sheets about one inch apart to allow room for spreading. Bake for 5 to 8 minutes, or until the edges are just lightly browned. Cool the cookies completely before decorating them. Silver balls, crystal sugar, and various other glittery baking decorations will make your cookies stand out at your disco party. Plus, they can each be completely different colors and designs! |
