John Travolta had the moves down, when it comes to disco; do you know how to move? Time to create a fun family reunion, class reunion or office party without getting out of control disco can bring the fun to any party. In history, disco which originated in the 1970's was one of the hottest forms of social interaction there was. Now it’s a fun pastime or hobby for a few. Getting out the old records, and maybe a few of the old VHS movies, such as Saturday night ever, and a few other disco related movies will help those unfamiliar with the dance to get involved and maybe take interest.
There are so many different fun facts out there surrounding the disco era it can be overwhelming to choose just a few as part of you party theme. Break out the vinyl records, hot wings and canned soda and see who has the platforms and can move across the dance floor. Saturday night fever is a common and popular movie in history and also makes a great starting point for any great party starter. Break out movies, disco ball and teach all of the young kids on the real history of dance in the 1970’s and how to truly “bust a move” with the true slick moves of platform shoes, bell bottoms and of course the music of disco. So after you have broken out the nostalgic and historical decorations and clothing show the younger generation how it is done.
