Disney Cars Game 1

A game for a Disney Cars’ themed party can be an oldie but a goodie: Red Light-Green Light. In this game one child is the policeman; all the others stand at the starting line. Determine where the finish line will be and then have the police yell, “Green Light". When the policeman yells all the other children walk as fast as they can forwards the finish line. They cannot run, only walk. The policeman counts to four or five and then yells, "Red Light". All the other children have to stop instantly. If a child continues to move or breaks into a run they have to go back where they were when the policemen yelled Green Light . This is best done outdoors. The winner is the first child to reach the finish line. Play several rounds of this at the party.

Remember the guess the number of jelly beans in a jar games? Well, this is the same thing except it has a Disney Cars twist. Instead of guessing the number of jelly beans the children guess the number of cars. Fill a large clear glass or plastic jar with miniature toy cars. If you can't find a big plastic jar and don't really want the kids handling a glass one, then get a 2 liter plastic soda bottle cut a flap in the bottom, big enough to put the mini cars into the bottle. Tape the flap back and cut a piece of card stock or poster board the size of the bottom of the bottle. Tape the poster board over the bottom so it will be smooth with no sharp edges when the kids handle it. Let the kids guess the number of cars in the bottle. Have the number written in a sealed envelope. Open it to reveal the correct number and give the winner the bottler full of miniature cars as the prize.

Many people enjoy playing, “Musical Chairs.” This game can be a lot of fun and very exciting. However, some children may get their feelings hurt during musical chairs and cry when they get out. Therefore, prior to beginning the game of musical chairs go over the rules and remind the kids to have fun and enjoy the game assuring them that they all will get a turn. Next, explain how to play the game of musical chairs. Fist, place enough chairs in the center of your room for each one of your guests and turn the music on for the people to begin walking. Prior to beginning make sure everyone has a chair to begin the games. After explaining the games, do a practice run. If the seem to understand, then play the real game. When explaining the rules, reiterate the importance of taking turns.
