Homemade Elmo Party Game

In this handmade Elmo game place a number of red cotton balls inside a clear glass jar and have party guests guess how many red cotton balls are in the jar. The player who is the closest to the number without going over is the winner.

Pin the Nose on Elmo, similar to Pin the Tail on the Donkey can be handmade from sheets of paper or poster board, paint or markers. Cut out several orange noses from construction paper and have the children see who can come the closest to giving back Elmo’s nose.

Pass The Elmo is a homemade game that is super simple to play. Use a Elmo stuffed toy and have the children pass it around in a circle. The player who has Elmo once the music has stopped is eliminated. Keep the game going until all the players have been eliminated. The winner of the game receives the stuffed Elmo toy as a prize.

Constructing Elmo’s face will encourage children to put their thinking caps in this handmade game. Cut out two white and black circles for Elmo’s eyes, orange for nose, half pie shape for mouth, and large red circle for his face from construction paper. Cut these pieces in several smaller pieces. Have children create Elmo by placing the pieces to create Elmo. The more pieces are cut the more difficult it will be to create Elmo again so consider the age group playing.
