This year, instead of throwing rice, you can put it to good use by using it to fill up soft pillows that can be warmed in the microwave. Warm Pillows For this fun Engagement craft idea you’ll need the following items to make one pillow; a piece of 100% cotton woven or knit fabric that measures 10 ½ inches by 21 inches, a piece of 100% solid cotton woven or knit fabric for inside pillow that measures 10 ½ inches by 21 inches, roughly 4 cups of dry rice, sewing thread, and sewing needles. Begin your Engagement Craft pillow by folding the rectangle for the inner pillow cover in half lengthwise, wrong sides together. Stitch across long side and one of the short sides, leaving one short side open.
