There are more and more people taking Spanish holidays seriously and with Cinco de Mayo being recognizes in the United States on calendars you see more and more fiestas in restaurants and other public places. With this said no one said you couldn’t throw your own fiesta at home. There is so much history behind the Mexican or Spanish culture if you know someone from this descent ask them to help you plan this party, or also known as a fiesta. Getting the facts right would only be respectful to their heritage. This is such a fun reason to get up and dance, or celebrate, if you will be having the fiesta at your home get your invitations ready and send them out letting everyone know when and where, along with the theme of the party, which can be portrayed in the invitation style as well.
As you are planning your fiesta think about the different foods, you are not wanting to eat American foods when you are hosting an event that honors a different culture. Get with someone who is familiar with authentic Mexican food and see if they will help you with this area, on top of that you want to have your Mexican history information accurate so that way all of your décor is accurate and respectful as well. There are several games for kids based on this theme and the music offers a fun and light atmosphere and there is sure to be fun had for all.
