Handmade Fifties Party Favors

A fifties themed party deserves party favors that are extra special – handmade party favors. Homemade party favors can be made very easily with a little creativity and crafting. A fifties themed photo board is the perfect party favors for those attending a fifties themed party.

Tools and Materials:

Cardboard - 12x 12 inches per party favor
Pink material for the women – 12 x 12 square or material per favor
Blue material for the men - 12 x 12 square or material per favor
Ribbon – black for women and blue for men
Black construction paper
Stapler
Glue
Small disc buttons or other fifties themed button

First, take the cardboard and cover the front with the material, gluing it to the cardboard. Then, take the ribbon and measure across the cardboard, diagonally, and create strips. Leave enough ribbon so that it can be wrapped around the back and glued down. Take each ribbon piece, starting at the corner, glue the strips onto the back only at the ends – continue until the opposite corner is reached. Flip the cardboard around and start from the other corner and do the same.

Where the ribbon crosses, at each point, glue a small fifties themed button to the intersection. This will pin down the ribbon just enough where it will make pictures secure when inserted. Finally, glue the black construction paper on the back of the cardboard to finish it off. Add extra personalization by writing each guests name on the back of the homemade party favors or even the date of the fiesta themed party.
