Fire Engine Jalapeno Cheese Soup<
Cheese is my favorite so when I tried this Fire Engine Jalapeno Cheese Soup I was stoked. I loved it so much I had to share the recipe with the whole world
. Serves 6)
Ingredients:
6 cup Chicken broth
8 Celery stalks
2 cup Diced onion
3/4 tsp Garlic salt
1/4 tsp White pepper
2 lb Velveeta cheese
1 cup Diced jalapeno peppers
Sour cream
Flour tortillas
Instructions:
Dice celery stalks, onions and jalapenos. Cut Velveeta into cubes.
In a large saucepan place the chicken broth, celery, onions, garlicsalt, and white pepper. Cook over high heat for 10 minutes, or until the mixture reduces and thickens slightly.
In a blender or food processor place the broth and the cheese. Puree them together until the mixture is smooth. Return the pureed mixture to
the saucepan and simmer it for 5 minutes. Add the diced peppers and mix them in well.
Serve with a dollop of sour cream and warm flour tortillas

When your little one starts asking all about the Fire Department and Fire Engines maybe its time to throw him or her, a Fire Engine party for their next birthday. This is a very easy party to put together, all you need for it is lots of red color. The Fire Engine is an American Icon, a classic image, so your menu should be of equal stature.
The Fire Engine party menu involves classic tastes for a classic American Heroes party theme. Start off with an appetizer selection of Pigs in a Blanket, that tasty treat from childhood of hot dog pieces wrapped in bread dough and baked. They make for great dipping. The main meal at your party can be host to some traditional favorites like; Fire Engine Red Potatoes, Steak or Meatloaf with Red Sauce, Green Beans and Bacon, and a Patriotic Jell-o Ring!
Fire Engine Red Potatoes are your basic small red potatoes some yummy butter sauce but they have a great name for the party theme. Cut a half a dozen or so red potatoes into quarters and place in a pot with some water to boil. When the potatoes are nearly cooked but still firm, remove potatoes and set aside. Drain all but about a half cup of water from the pot. Add to this; half a stick of butter, small amount of bacon grease (which you should have left over from making your green beans and bacon) and two tablespoons of flour. Stir and simmer mixture until its smooth and has thickened. Add spices to taste such as; parsley, salt, pepper, paprika and chili powder. Put potatoes back in the pot and simmer until potatoes are thoroughly seasoned and serve up at the Fire Engine party.

WHAT'S FIRE ENGINE IS BEHIND THE BACK: Two players take part in this game. Each player is a particular Fire Engine Company. The two engine companies are rivals. Pin well-defined pictures and paper circles with the numbers (such as 96, 105 etc.) on the backs of the players. The numbers represent the fire station number. The players are in the circle. (The circle may be drawn with the chalk on the floor.) They stand on one foot. Their task is to catch sight of the picture and number on the rival's back, jumping on one foot.
