Handmade Fireman Party Favors

Homemade party favors in the form of cupcakes is a great solutions to the idea of party favors for guests. Fireman themed cupcakes are a nice treat and look great. The bright colors and taste of these fireman themed cupcakes will be the “icing on the cake” for the party!

Start off with any cupcake recipe of the hosts choice. This could be the standard chocolate, vanilla or white cupcake. Hosts can ramp it up a notch and use a red velvet cupcake recipe or simply dye the white cupcake recipe red. This will give it the fiery red look that sticks with the theme.

Once the cupcakes have been baked, it is time to let them cool down and then ice theme. If using a red cupcake batter, use a lighter icing for the top. If using a lighter cupcake batter, use a darker icing for the top. For example, if a white cupcake batter was used, it is recommended that the icing be red.

On top of the red icing, different things can be iced on to the cupcake as far as design. A wall of fire in yellow and orange icing would be a great addition to the fireman themed cupcake. Another idea for these handmade party favors is the use of edible glitter. Fire is very bright and utilizing edible glitter or shimmer can help add drama to the cupcake overall.

If extra detail is desired for the homemade party favors, use fireman themed paper covers or baking paper for the cupcake bottoms. Cupcake surrounds can also easily be made from vellum paper as well.
