Guests are sure to sing along to every word of these classics. You will notice that most of the songs listed are from years back. If you wanted to, you could mix in some modern songs to give the fraternity something a little newer. Whichever way the songs are prepared, be sure to have enough to last the entire party. Guests will get restless if they hear the same song again and again. Yet they will dance, sing along and do high fives when they hear old favorites. Centerpieces can be artistic like hand painted flower holders or something more practical like candles to provide light. Stretch resources at a social function by using potted flowers as decorations and then giving them as door prizes. Invite everyone who’s interested in helping to create artful decorations by using plates, glue, glitter and more which can be sent home with the creators at the end of the night.

Homemade party supplies and handmade party goods such as handmade togas, sashes and crowns of thorns are ideal items for fraternity parties. It in fact would not be a frat event without them. Most fraternity parties cater to male college students with female students often invited. There is nothing quite like a toga party and having homemade togas for your guests is a must. They just might leave if they don't get their toga!

Making a toga and other handmade fraternity party supplies can be done quite easily. So envision your idea of the perfect toga and get to work. First of all, take a solid color sheet or an old piece of cloth and fold it into a toga to create the perfect toga wrap. Many fraternity brothers prefer to use sheets that are draped around the shoulders and clipped in place to complete their togas. It really is that simple to create the perfect toga. A review of history discusses the importance of the draping of the togas and their place in Greek culture.

The togas and other fraternity party supplies such as crowns of thorns, sashes and party banners will more than likely be handmade by the fraternity brothers. They are bound to have a blast creating these novelties. The fraternity brothers will research and review the different methods for making these traditional fraternity party items and other party supplies. More often than not, this Greek adventure will be completed with a few additional handmade party supplies such as handmade flags, beach balls and drink umbrellas. These little tokens will do much to add to the fun. As will everything you create for the sake of this winning soiree.

Create a fun and enjoyable fraternity cake that will be remembered for years. And likely devoured during the ccourse of one evening. All you will need is:

A Cake
A knife to trim the cake
Icing
Icing bag and select tips

Sounds pretty simple, but you also have to prepare the cake. First, you will need to bake a cake of your choices. Be sure to bake it in a similar shape to the sign of the fraternity. Guests are sure to recognize and appreciate these symbols. This will help eliminate excess waste of cake because you will not have to trim as much. Once you have your cake baked, it is time to trim the cake into the shape of the sign. This can easily be done by taking a knife and cutting into the cake. Smooth out the edges by lightly running the knife over the area to shaved off erroneous and unlevel spaces. This may seem complicated but is really a breeze.

Once you have the shape, ice the whole cake in the base color. It is important to follow the colors of the fraternity exactly in order to get the desired effect. Your guests will know and appreciate the appearance of these hues. Once you have the base color on, start adding detail by using the icing bag and piping a boarder, etc.
Finally, if there is a lot of cake leftover that has been shaved off, you might be able to make mini cakes. You can do this by cutting them in squares and icing the tops of them. You can place these by the fraternity cake for an added bite sized treat. Be sure to have plenty of other party supplies as well to keep the theme and fun going.

It’s the best years of your life during college or at least that’s what they say, so a Fraternity party can be a great theme choice for your next party event. This theme can bring back lots of nostalgia for your guests and the younger guests at the party will have fun just getting into the fun feel of the event. If you like you can incorporate fraternity elements from decades long past to really add to the nostalgic feel. Imagine the Toga Party with everyone dressed accordingly. It even makes for a great party theme at your graduation party.

Think old pennants with the Greek letters on them, noisemakers, keggers, and pledge days and you’ll have lots of fodder for your fraternity party or toga party theme. You might even see if you can hold the party in an old fraternity house or at least in a large old house that is reminiscent of a fraternity house. There are plenty of them around.

The guests probably won’t want to party hardy like they used to in their college days so you may want to focus on fun activities and food to keep them entertained. Food stuffs that people tend to eat while in college may be great for a kick. Try chicken wings, nachos and cheesy puffs. You can even go with greek cuisine to go along wih the toga party attire.br>
For fun you can put a package of ramen noodles in everyone’s goodie bags since many will remember scraping by for weeks on a diet of ramen noodles during college. Also put in some fun items to remember people of the good old days of college. Perhaps a few items traditionally meant for graduation parties can be put in. You can find some personalized key chains, mini diplomas and so on for the guests to keep.

A toga wearing dance marathon is just the way to go as far as activities are concerned. You’ll want to put on some pop music, so look for a party music CD that fits the fraternity party theme. Also don’t forget the dance floor prizes to give guests who really move their feet and dont trip over their togas...or the person who shows up as the most creative toga party guest.

As can be guessed by their sophisticated Greek monikers, fraternities are time-honored collegiate institutions that involve a strong commitment to brotherhood and the pursuit of higher education. Greek fraternity parties complete with togas, otherwise known as frat parties, are just a whole lot of fun! Guests are sure to cry "Toga! Toga! Toga!" at this memorable event.

Notorious for the booze, toga gear, loud music, and raucous pranks that define them, the Fraternity Party was immortalized in the 1978 John Belushi film “Animal House.” Everyone who sees this classic comedy gets a good idea of a frat fest. Yet the toga-style party seen in that film actually originated much earlier; toga parties, in which frat brothers dress up in sandals and bed sheets for a rollicking good time, actually can be traced back to the early 1950s. Rumor has it even Eleanor Roosevelt hosted one! Just one of her many fantastic life achievements.

Through the years, the organizers of fraternity parties across the nation have seemed to engage in a festive game of one-upmanship; seeing as to who can come up with the wildest themes, the greatest varieties of beer, wine, and fattening party treats, the wildest games and challenges, the highest quotient of lovely young ladies in attendance at the party, etc. Each host must meet and raise the bar at a frat fest.

Recently, however, university administrators have imposed strict regulations on fraternity festivities, to prevent debacles such as fraternity hazing and the endangerment of female guests. And fraternities themselves are adapting rules that will ensure the safety of all guests at their parties. This is done for the good of all in attendance.

The Fraternity Party will always be a fun institution of frolic and celebration, celebrated at colleges across the country. Organizers just need to be sure that the fun stays safe and clean. Plan a Fraternity Party today! Invite everyone who’s interested in helping to create artful decorations by using plates, glue, glitter and more which can be sent home with the creators at the end of the night. Arrange furniture for a get-to-gather in small groups to help initiate conversations. Invite everyone who’s interested in helping to create artful decorations by using plates, glue, glitter and more which can be sent home with the creators at the end of the night. The history of Fraternity has different interpretations by each person, so use your own judgement. Share these facts with friends at a celebration.
