Handmade Fraternity Pinatas

A homemade piñata is suitable for just about any type of party and celebration from a fraternity party, birthday party, Baptism party, anniversary party, Cinco de Mayo, and many other celebrations. Select a piñata based on the party theme if the party is a luau theme then making a luau girl or boy is appropriate. Those who are throwing an anniversary party may want to consider the likes of the couple. Do they love to travel? Then a piñata made to look like an airplane should be considered. Piñatas also work for Halloween parties. Witches, bats, zombies, jack-o-lanterns are all good Halloween theme piñatas. Those who love cats, dogs, or other animals may want to break open their favorite animal piñata as well. Those who plan to make a piñata for a celebration but are short on ideas may want to consider a general piñata. Blow up a large balloon and cover in paper mache. Tape birthday party hats to the balloon once the paper mache dried. Cover the party hats in tissue paper with the rest of the piñata. Leave a small hole on the bottom of the piñata to insert the candy and reapply the paper mache with tissue paper. On the ends of the party hats apply streamers or curling ribbon. Use plenty of colored tissue paper on the piñata for a festive look – the more color the better. Allow the piñata to dry over night. Now the piñata can be smashed to bits by candy-eager individuals.
