Glee Costume

The characters on the popular television series “Glee” have been seen in all types of costumes, but your child can have one that is handmade. But to stay with the Glee theme, a cheerleader outfit with pom-poms would be perfect, or maybe a simpler running suit can be worn to portray the character of Miss Sylvester.

The cheerleader’s skirt is simple enough, but a pattern can be homemade from any flowing skirt in the home. Just take some brown paper, or even newspaper. Place the skirt on it, and trace it out. Be sure there is plenty of room on all four sides for seams for this great Glee costume. Or you might try a Yellow Zoot Suit costume instead.

And even easier way to make a cheerleader’s skirt, is to draw a large circle on the brown paper. When it is cut out and matched to just the right red fabric, the skirt should bounce with every jump the cheerleader makes.

An elastic band that is not too tight around the waist will make it easy to put on. To top of this handmade outfit can be in a stiffer matching red material, and it can be placed over a simple white t-shirt. WMHS can be cut out from other material and either sewn on or glued onto the top. And the trim is all that is left.

You can also try aDanny Bird Costume .To be Miss Sylvester, the Glee costume is even simpler. Just find a red running suit with white stripes on the sides, add the name “Sue” to it, and carry a stop watch. Of course, a short, blonde wig would top it off, and everyone will know exactly who you are!
