Glee Themed Party Menu
A Glee themed party is a fantastic way to bring together all fellow Gleeks in celebration of the popular TV show. No party is complete without a plethora of tasty, delicious dishes for all the guests to enjoy. Fine, elegant cuisine is not common place in the show so a Glee themed party should not contain sushi, prime rib and other fancy meals.
What can you serve at a Glee theme party? Select high school related foods such as mash potatoes, green beans, tater tots, chicken pot pies, chicken tenders, pizza, burgers, and macaroni & cheese. Do not forget grape Slurpees as well. These dishes are easy to prepare and most come in the frozen food section at the local grocery store. The chicken pot pie dish may prove most difficult, even so, it is a straight forward recipe anyone can make.
Chicken pot pie recipe includes but not limited to the following:
1 can turkey pot pie soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
3 dashes sage
2 deep dish frozen pie crust
salt and pepper
Preheat oven to 400°F.
Mix soup, vegetables, chicken, and broth. Put mixture into the bottom pie shell. Cover with the top pie crust and crimp to seal. Slice a few vent holes in the top.
Bake for 40 minutes or until golden. Cover pie edge with aluminum foil or a pie shield if it begins to brown too quickly.
Chicken pot pie is a simple dish that requires minimal ingredients and can be served in large quantities. Dessert for a Glee themed party can include peach cobbler, which is also a common dessert served in many high schools.

High school chicken pot pie was TERRIBLE! This sounds a lot better. God only know what they fed us in school.
This is must try. It is important to try new things and being chicken pot pie was never served in school for us, this is on the taste-list.

| NAME THAT TUNE: Glee is all about singing and music. Name that tune will make a perfect game for a Glee party. Start by getting the Glee soundtrack which will work great with the theme of the party. But don't stop there. Glee is about the love of music so have some songs that you know are your friends’ favorites too. The game starts by asking the guests to declare how long it will take them to recognize and "name that tune". The host can start out by saying, "Who can name that tune after hearing six seconds of it?" If someone says, "I can." then ask, "Who can name it in less time?" Someone will probably say they can. When the time to listen to the song is as low as anyone dares; play the tune for that amount time and let the person try to name it. If they can’t the person who called the next lowest amount of time gets to listen for the time they called and try to name it. The first person who can successfully name it wins. Lots more

Planning a great Glee themed party requires a delicious, yet simple menu anyone can prepare. What can you serve at a Glee theme party? Select high school related foods such as:

chicken tenders
pizza

peach cobbler
macaroni & cheese
Slurpees
Most of these foods come in the frozen food section at the local grocery store. It is important to keep each meal simple and true to the Glee theme. Serve meals in cafeteria trays.
For those who cannot find peach cobbler at the local grocery store, making a peach cobbler is always an option. A simple peach cobbler includes the following:
2 cups fresh peaches, pitted and sliced (canned peaches are acceptable)
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 1/2 cups water
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
Serving size 6
Baking time 45-55 minutes. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly butter a 9x9 inch glass baking pan. In a large bowl, cream the butter and 1/2 cup sugar.
In a different bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt. Add to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk. Spread mixture evenly into baking dish.
For canned peaches, drain thoroughly, reserving the juice. Spoon fruit over batter.
Sprinkle with cinnamon and 1/4 cup sugar. Pour fruit juice or water over the top. Add more or less cinnamon as needed. Some individuals prefer more cinnamon while others prefer less.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 45-55 minutes.
By just adding even one simple food item to the menu will help create
a complete Glee theme party feeling. |
