Planning a party for someone that may be a little older than you can seem a little challenging, but when you get into the golden oldies you are looking at throwing a successful party. The key is to know what it is they like, make sure that the right guests attend the party, know your music history and get the facts right when you’re dealing with the golden oldies. Planning a party for a class reunion, anniversary or other non child based party can be challenging, again if you don’t know what you are looking at. Start with the invitations get those coming that know the guest of honor, ask them for different suggestions, find out what their favorites are from the golden oldies, and use those as reference points for the rest of your party.
If they have one song or another that is a particular favorite use that as your background music for a slide show with different pictures of the guest of honor and their family, anything that helps show who they are and what they stand for. There is no better way to show respect and love for someone other than going through their history and making a slide show, something they can go back and watch later on in their life. The golden oldies represent a mile stone in their life as well, that is why it is really a great way to show respect for them and also offers easy decoration options as well.
