Hide the groundhog in a location accessible to the children. The groundhog cannot easily be caught because in this game the children are to be blindfolded. The children must feel around the party area in hopes they are the ones to catch the groundhog.

Ground Hog Bean Bag Toss Game is a fun homemade game for Groundhog Day in which participate throw brown bean bags small-large cardboard boxes. Pace the cardboard boxes a few feet from each other making it increasingly difficult for the children to make the bean bags.

Catch the Groundhogs is a fun Groundhog game in which participates must hold as many brown balloons as they can. Blow up a few dozen brown balloons and place in the party area on the floor and wherever else children can reach them. On go, players must grab as many balloons as they can by placing them in their shirts or pants. Once the host yells stop then the players must hold their balloons continuously for the balloons to be counted as their total. The player with the most balloons is declared the winner. Blow the balloons small-medium sizes or a best guess Groundhog size.
