A little gymnast may want a gymnastic theme party so ensure all the proper party supplies, decorations and even homemade piñatas are ready for the big day. To make a gymnastics piñata, make a standard square or rectangle piñata, equal on all four sides, and paste fun gymnastics pictures on each side. add tissue paper o desired colors where needed. Why not use red, white, and blue colors to represent the U.S. gymnastics team with a few touches of gold. Fill the piñata with small toys, candies and anything else that can fit inside. Many piñatas can hold 2-3lbs. of goodies.
For gymnastic party decorations hang patriotic banners and flags in the party area. Hang curling ribbon, streamers, and faux gold medals as well. A simple homemade gymnastic banner can be made from metallic gold paper individually cut, stringed together, with red, white, and blue ribbon. Once the individually circles are strung together, cut out red, white, and blue letters to read Happy Birthday or a desired special greeting for guests.
Children have a lot of energy and smashing piñata open might not tire them out enough. One way to ensure children get plenty of exercise during this gymnastics party is by playing active games. Have the children perform various athletic tests such as doing a headstand, crab walking, walking on a balance beam, hoping on one foot for as long as possible with falling over etc. give winners of such games gold medals – or give every child gold medals just for participating.
