Handmade Happy Face Party Favors

The happy face theme is one that everyone seems to like and making handmade party supplies is not only fun but also something guests love. This is a simple handmade party favor craft that will take about 5-10 minutes each, depending on design and how quickly the host works. The drying time, however, is a day, so plan on enough time to allot for that.

Materials that are needed:

Yellow shirts – one per guest
Black fabric paint
1-inch thick paint brush
Black puff paint (optional)
Large Circular object for template
Cardboard

First take the cardboard and place it inside the shirt wear it covers the whole middle of the shirt. Now, the homemade party favors are ready to be made. Take the paintbrush and dip it into the black fabric paint. Be sure to coat it well so it goes through the material and seeps in good; too much, however, will get too hard when it dries.

Grab the round circular object and place the tip of the paintbrush flat to the material and right up against the side of the object. Trace around the object until returning to the starting point. Lift the circular object and paint in eyes and a mouth. Remember, the traditional happy face does not have a nose.

Once the homemade party favor dries, it is time to remove the cardboard. If making multiple shirts, it might be easier to slip a hanger into the shirt and hang it to dry, removing the cardboard to use for another shirt.
