Hot Wheels PARTY CRAFT IDEAS

Hot Wheels are very popular among boys and some girls as well. They love to see the different kinds of cars that are available and collect them all. This is a craft that will allow the kids ta the party to create their own hot wheels car.

What you will need:

1. Hot Wheels/Matchbox or similar cars (1 or 2 per child that will be their)
2. Acrylic paint
3. Paint brushes
4. 3-5 foil pans
5. Glitter/stickers
6. 3-5 plastic cups filled with ¾ water
7. Clear coat (optional)

This craft is aimed at using cars that are already available and re-painting them. The kids will love this because they will be able to make their own custom car design! It is a great craft to include in their goody bags when they are leaving.

Take your foil pan and put on color in each pan. It is recommended that you use at least three colors but if you can do 5, it works the best. Set up your plastic cups so they are in between each color. These are the cups that the children will use to rinse their brushes with.

Have the children paint their cars with the paintbrushes. You can have glitter out (especially for the girls) as well as stickers if you want. After they are done painting them, set them aside to dry. This is acrylic paint so it will only take 15-30 minutes to dry. When they are dry you can either stick them in their bags or spray a clear coat over them. If you are using a clear coat finish, check to see who long it will take to dry before you do it to make sure you have plenty of time.
