The Indianapolis Colts is known throughout the country as a team with a great sense of humor; Indiana musician Duke Tomato, in fact, has released a series of novelty songs in honor of the team entitled “Lord Help Our Colts.”

The fact is, though, that the Indianapolis Colts is a strong force to contend with in the NFL. Throughout 57 years of National Football League competition, the Colts have achieved a most impressive 460-409-7 record, including a total of four World Championships and 18 Conference or Divisional titles. And in 2008, the Colts became the first team in NFL history to win at least seven consecutive games throughout the course of five consecutive seasons.

Many of these victories were achieved with the able aid of legendary players like Peyton Manning, and coaches such as Tony Dungy, who completed his Colts career as the only coach in Colts history to post more than 10 wins and earn playoff appearances in seven straight seasons. The team’s current coach is Jim Caldwell.
